Depression is a bully. However, I like to see it as a bull. Imagine you are standing behind a wall that only comes as high as your ribcage. You are enjoying life behind your short wall, waving to all of the people passing through with a smile. Then one day a bull comes from across the wall and pins you to another wall behind you. His horns dig into your sides and the pain is nearly unbearable. You struggle against him only to increase the intensity of the pain. He snarls and tells you “alert anyone over the wall that I am here and that you are in pain and I will take them too”. So, out of fear for your friends and family who pass
